A.R.T. Intensives
 Testimonial
"Over the years, my daughter had taken my grandchildren to various therapists, each with their own style, but none ever truly connected with my grandson. The approaches were demanding, both energetically and emotionally, and I didn’t see the progress we hoped for. My grandson often begged to quit, and honestly, I understood why.Â
Everything changed when he began your A.R.T. Intensive program. From the very first day, he was engaged - he never complained or asked to stop. The difference was immediate and profound."

Why the Intensive Format?
A.R.T. Intensives are structured as eight sessions delivered in a close sequence, allowing each session to build upon the physiological settling established in the previous one. It promotes deep learning, and system safety.
This structure supports:
• deeper physiological settling
• continuity of nervous system regulation
• reduced reliance on memory, insight, or effort between sessions
• a gradual expansion of the system’s capacity for state flexibility
For individuals experiencing shutdown, inertia, hyper-activation, or profound dysregulation, this continuity is often what makes the work accessible in the first place.
The A.R.T. Intensives create a contained arc of learning, rather than a series of isolated therapeutic appointments. Because the nervous system is able to remain safely within the process, the shifts that occur can be deep, profound and more lasting than in traditional weekly formats. They may also obviate the need for, or support access to, traditional therapies.
The Structure of an A.R.T. Intensive
Initial Session
The first session focuses on establishing safety and orientation.
We explore the principles behind A.R.T., introduce the nervous system to the process, and begin gently orienting the body toward states of safety and regulation. This session lays the foundation for the work that follows.
Five Consecutive Sessions
The core of the Intensive consists of five closely spaced sessions, each building on the physiological settling of the previous one.
The first of these sessions continues from the initial orientation, supporting the nervous system in deepening regulation and internal stability, as well as learning the exercises.
Across the following sessions, the body is given the opportunity to gradually expand its capacity for ease, coherence, and state flexibility.
The final session of this sequence supports integration, helping the shifts that have occurred begin to stabilise in daily life.
Two Follow-Up Sessions
Two follow-up sessions provide support for integration and ongoing nervous system stability.
These sessions allow space to consolidate the changes that have occurred, address any emerging challenges, and support the continued expansion of state flexibility in daily life.Â
The Depth of the Work
The investment in an A.R.T. Intensive reflects not only the time involved, but also the level of presence, preparation, and nervous system attunement required to hold this depth of work safely and effectively.Â
This is careful, relational work that honours the human being, as well as the intelligence of the nervous system. The intensive supports the gradual restoration of the body's innate, natural capacity for rest and flexibility.
When the nervous system begins to rediscover this flexibility, people are more free in the body - and more free to be who they truly are.
*As well as the 1:1 sessions; Holly is available during the week for parents / clients to check in and ask questions, so that the changes taking place can be integrated for the whole family.
