A.R.T. Foundations is the public entry point into the A.R.T. model.

This course explores:

  • the freeze response
  • autistic inertia
  • shutdown states
  • ADHD paralysis
  • nervous system survival responses
  • Polyvagal Theory foundations
  • dorsal vagal states
  • co-regulation
  • safety and emergence
  • understanding stillness differently

This course is suitable for:

  • parents and carers
  • autistic adults
  • educators
  • therapists
  • allied health professionals
  • support workers
  • anyone wanting a foundational understanding of the A.R.T. approach

A.R.T. Foundations is educational in nature and is not a practitioner certification.

Advanced A.R.T. Studies

Topic-Based, Deep Dive Courses

For those who have completed A.R.T. Foundations and wish to continue deeper into specific areas, Advanced A.R.T. Studies offers focused explorations into particular nervous system presentations and developmental experiences.

These studies are designed for:

  • deeper learners
  • professionals
  • families navigating complex presentations
  • autistic adults
  • practitioners seeking expanded understanding

Topics may include:

  • Autism
  • Profound States
  • ADHD Paralysis
  • Early Trauma
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Early Surgeries & Medical Trauma
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Aged Care
  • Complex Psychiatric Presentations
  • Catatonia
  • Family Systems
  • Integral Theory

These courses are educational and exploratory in nature and are intended to deepen understanding of the A.R.T. framework and nervous system-informed support approaches.

"I am still finalising how I will design the A.R.T. Training pathway.  I am invested in maintaining the integrity and IP of this work, and making this a world-class therapeutic. More information will be available soon.

Most likely it will look like this:

Each Advanced A.R.T. In Depth module contributes one credit point toward future A.R.T. Practitioner Accreditation pathways.

Practitioner accreditation will also include a live 2–3 day immersive training with Holly Bridges, offered in person and, where appropriate, online. Both for completion of Level One (post A.R.T. Foundations); and then for completion of Level 2, (having completed 8-10 'Deep Dive' modules.

'Profound States' - is the first module for Deep Dive - see below

  • profound shutdown and immobilisation states
  • nervous system protection responses
  • developmental pacing
  • movement and emergence
  • co-regulation and relational safety
  • dorsal vagal complexity
  • profound autism through a nervous system lens
  • family experiences and environmental shaping

This course is intended for those who have already completed A.R.T. Foundations or have an existing understanding of the A.R.T. model.

Suitable For

Future Practitioner Training

A more formal live practitioner training pathway is planned for future development.

This future pathway will likely include:

  • live immersive training
  • supervised integration
  • specialty areas
  • ongoing professional supervision

Proposed Accreditation:

Level 1 - Foundations, plus 8-10 Deep Dive Modules, plus 2-3 day workshop (in person / possibly online)

Level 2 - A.R.T. Intensives, modules (online)

As A.R.T. continues evolving, the intention is to build this pathway carefully, ethically, and in alignment with the depth and sensitivity of the work itself.
Further details will be shared in future. (see above)

Ongoing Supervision & Community

Future Professional Integration

For professionals and deeper learners, future supervision and integration spaces are planned to support:

  • ongoing reflection
  • case integration
  • nervous system discernment
  • ethical application
  • continued learning and discussion

The intention is to create a thoughtful, well-supported learning community around the evolving A.R.T. model.

A Final Note

A.R.T. is not based on quick-fix behavioural approaches or rigid protocols.

It is an evolving nervous system and developmental framework grounded in:

  • safety
  • pacing
  • relationship
  • embodiment
  • emergence
  • the body’s innate intelligence

The intention of these courses is not simply to deliver information, but to support a deeper understanding of shutdown states, nervous system protection, and human development through a compassionate and integrative lens.
